Llanbadarn Fawr Tithe Map 1846

In 1846 a survey was made of the parishes of Issayndre and Uchayndre which includes all the village of Llanbadarn Fawr. The purpose of the survey was to find the tithe payment in the parishes and the map is known as the Llanbadarn Fawr Tithe Map of 1846 and with it was a schedule. The owners of land in the village in 1846 have been arranged alphabetically in the following typescript of the schedule. This transcript of the schedule of the Tithe Map of 1846 for the parishes of Issayndre and Uchayndre was made from the original schedule preserved in the National Library of Wales by A. W. Gilbey. 1982

The schedule is divided into seven columns each of which is worded as follows:

1  Landowner
2   Occupier
3  Numbers referring to the Plan
4  Name and description of lands and premises
5  State of Cultivation
6 Quantity
7 Amount of Rent Charge apportioned upon the several lands, and payable to the Impropriator
The schedule contains an eighth column, titled “Remarks” that was not annotated: consequently it has not been included in this typescript.
